Employer Update 1

This week the interns have been talking about empathy, what it is, and how can they use it to solve their users’ problems. They were asked to make an empathy map, which you can see here. This empathy map will help them understand what the user is saying, doing, thinking, and feeling about the problem at hand. By understanding these 4 things, the interns are able to come up with questions geared toward the users, and they can easily ask a larger group of users for more information.

The interns are diving into empathy so that they can begin to understand their users. Interns will be talking to customers and employees to conduct observations, interviews, and surveys to help them get to know their main user. After they get the data, they will be unpacking it to identify the problem worth solving, so that they can begin to come up with a solution.
