Meet Your Coach
Your assigned ProX Coach serves as a key support partner throughout the summer experience. Coaches regularly check in with both interns and employers, helping support communication, student growth, and overall internship success.
We encourage you to get to know your assigned Coach and the broader team of professionals supporting ProX interns throughout the summer.
ProX and The DeBruce Foundation’s Partnership
ProX is excited to continue our partnership with The DeBruce Foundation for a fifth summer supporting our interns through Agilities and career exploration tools designed to help young people better understand future pathways.
The DeBruce Foundation is a national foundation whose mission is to expand both economic growth and opportunity. These tools allow students to gain deeper insight into professional environments that directly support their success beyond the ProX experience.
This summer, we are excited to continue integrating Agilities into our professional development programming to help students strengthen career literacy and cultivate confidence in the next generation of workforce.
Professional Development Overview
The ProX internship experience officially begins on Monday, June 1, when interns attend their first Professional Development (PD) session at the Ewing Marion Kauffman School. PD sessions will continue every Monday throughout the duration of the program.
These sessions are a required part of the ProX experience and are designed to support interns both inside and outside of the workplace through work-ready skill development, professional confidence-building, and career readiness preparation.
Interns are expected to arrive on time and dressed in business casual attire each week. Employers should note that interns are assigned to either an AM or PM PD session based on Coach and employer groupings.
Weekly Professional Development (PD) Overview
Weekly Professional Development (PD) sessions are a core part of the ProX internship experience and take place every Monday throughout the summer. During PD, interns participate in workshops, coaching sessions, and interactive learning experiences focused on building work-ready skills such as communication, collaboration, leadership, critical thinking, professionalism, and career readiness.
These sessions are designed to complement the hands-on learning taking place at internship sites and help interns continue growing both personally and professionally throughout the five-week experience. Employers are encouraged to stay connected to weekly PD themes so key skills can continue to be reinforced within the workplace.

ImBlaze Time Approval
Throughout the summer, employers will receive emails from ImBlaze prompting them to review and verify intern timesheets. Timely verification helps ensure student hours are accurately documented and supports smooth payroll processing throughout the program.
Employers can also use ImBlaze to leave feedback and important updates regarding intern performance and attendance. Regular check-ins and thoughtful feedback help both ProX staff and students stay aligned and supported throughout the internship experience.

World Cup Internship Expectations
Any World Cup-related activities connected to the internship experience must be reviewed through the lens of student safety, supervision, and transportation. Because many ProX interns are minors early in their professional journeys, all internship experiences should remain structured, well-supervised, age-appropriate, and centered around meaningful learning opportunities.
If your organization is considering any World Cup-related activities involving interns, please contact the ProX team in advance for review and guidance.
Plan Ahead: Anticipated World Cup Road Closures
Some streets near the FIFA Fan Fest in Kansas City are expected to experience closures and increased traffic throughout the summer. As employers prepare for interns to arrive on-site, we encourage teams to plan ahead, communicate potential delays when needed, and allow extra travel time for students navigating impacted areas.
While unexpected delays may arise, proactive planning can help support consistent attendance and smooth arrivals. Please review the map and article below for additional details and traffic updates.
