The ProX Employer Journey
Step 1: Fill Out the Employer Application
Start your journey by letting us know you’re interested in hosting a ProX intern. This application puts you in the pipeline and opens the doors to a meaningful partnership. Employers must reside within the 6 country KC metro area (Jackson, Johnson, Wyandotte, Platte, Cass, or Clay).
Step 4: Complete Background Check
Help us maintain a safe and professional environment for students. ProX covers the costs of all background checks making the process seamless for employer mentors.
Step 2: Schedule a Tour of Your Workplace (For New Employers)
Share your vision, showcase your workplace, and ensure a great fit for hosting students. We will discuss best practices, intern schedule examples and advise you on creating a quality internship experience for high school students.
Step 5: Attend the ProX Hiring Fair
Meet and select your summer intern(s) during this exciting event on March 21st, 2026. We prepare each employer in hiring fair best practices so you can select your interns with confidence.
Step 3: Complete Onboarding Documents
We’ll guide you through everything you need to prepare for a successful internship experience. ProX handles all the administrative paperwork needed to legally onboard the intern.
Step 6: Host Your Intern
Beginning June 1st, 2026 and running through July 2nd, 2026, welcome your intern for 21 hours a week of hands-on learning. Provide meaningful tasks, mentorship, and support as they gain real-world experience and grow under your guidance.
