Week 4: Testing and Prototyping

This week we are talking about prototypes. Interns are creating a prototype to show their employers, so that they can give feedback on how to further solve the problem. During their Monday professional development day interns were given tools to create a prototype.

The interns are working on creating pitches for their employers, to convince the employer to pick up their idea. The interns will also be presenting their pitches at the final showcase on Thursday, July 13th. The pitches at the showcase will be present for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize of cash. Testing by pitches has a lot of benefits. It is low cost, time effective, smart, and allows for feedback. Pitches include visuals, and has 4 components, a hook, a problem, a solution, and an ask. We also learned some good tips to be able to present a good pitch.

Here are the links from our professional development team as a summery of what we did:

Debruce taught us how to include our agilities into our resumes, students made their own slide presentation from this.

Startland gave lots of tools to assist in pitch flow, see them here
